Full Mouth Rehabilitation

For a mouth that needs rebuilding rather than repairing. Function, comfort, and appearance restored together, in one coherent plan.

Full mouth rehabilitation is the comprehensive rebuilding of a mouth where wear, decay, missing teeth, or decades of piecemeal dentistry have accumulated to the point that treating one tooth at a time no longer makes sense. It combines restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry under a single plan, so that every restoration is designed with the others in mind.

We start with a full diagnostic workup: 3D imaging, digital scans, photographs, and a careful study of how your teeth actually meet. From that we establish where your bite should sit, then work back to the sequence of treatment that gets you there. You see the destination before you agree to the journey, and the work is staged into phases that fit your life and your budget.

Patients arrive tired of managing their mouth, having had a tooth fixed every few months for years. Rehabilitation replaces that with a stable bite, teeth that can be chewed on without thought, and an appearance that no longer reveals the history. It is significant treatment, and for the right patient it is genuinely life-changing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Full Mouth Rehabilitation.

Patients with widespread wear from grinding, multiple failing or missing teeth, chronic jaw discomfort tied to a collapsed bite, extensive old dentistry reaching the end of its life, or a combination of all of these. It also suits patients who have avoided the dentist for a long time and want to start again properly rather than patch things up.

Deliberate and closely supervised. Expect more than one planning appointment before treatment begins, because the diagnosis is the most important part. Treatment then proceeds in phases, with reviews between them. Dr. Amera coordinates the whole plan, bringing in Dr. Fragopol for any implant surgery.

Most rehabilitations run between six and eighteen months, depending on whether implants, grafting, or orthodontics are involved. Some phases are quick and visible; others are periods of healing where nothing much appears to be happening. We will map the whole timeline for you at the planning stage rather than revealing it a step at a time.

This is the most involved treatment we offer, in time, in cost, and in commitment. Insurance typically covers portions of the restorative work but rarely the whole plan, so we present a detailed investment breakdown and can phase treatment across benefit years or arrange financing. Gum health must be stable before rebuilding begins.

Recovery happens in stages rather than all at once, and each stage is modest: some tenderness after preparation appointments, a few days of softer eating after any surgery. Adjusting to a new bite takes a couple of weeks, and we expect to see you for small refinements during that period. That fine-tuning is part of the treatment, not a sign something went wrong.
