Same-Day Emergency Care

Pain that will not wait, a tooth that broke at the worst moment, a crown that came loose. We see emergencies the same day and get you comfortable again.

Same-day emergency care covers the situations that cannot wait for a routine appointment: a toothache that has kept you up, a tooth chipped or broken in an accident, a crown or filling that has come loose, or swelling that needs attention right away. We assess, diagnose, and treat in one visit whenever possible.

Call us and describe what happened. We hold room in the schedule specifically for same-day emergencies, so you are seen quickly rather than waiting for the next opening. Dr. Amera examines the tooth, takes an image if needed, and explains what is actually happening before recommending treatment, whether that is a repair, a temporary fix, or referral for something more involved.

Acting quickly protects the tooth and often turns a complicated problem into a simple one. Pain relief usually comes from the same visit that diagnoses the cause, and a tooth treated the day it breaks has a far better chance of being saved than one left untreated for weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Same-Day Emergency Care.

Anyone in pain, anyone with a chipped, cracked, or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling near a tooth. If something in your mouth suddenly does not feel right, this is the appointment to book.

We start by listening: what happened, when, and how it feels. An exam and, if needed, a quick image follow. Most emergencies are diagnosed and at least stabilized in the same visit, so you leave with a plan and relief rather than just an appointment for later.

Most emergency visits run forty-five minutes to an hour, longer if same-day repair such as a crown is possible. We hold same-day slots specifically for this, so call as early in the day as you can.

Not every emergency can be fully resolved in one visit, a badly infected tooth may need a follow-up root canal appointment, for example, but you will always leave knowing exactly what is next and with any pain addressed. Emergency exams are generally covered by dental insurance.

Recovery depends on what was treated: a repaired chip needs nothing special, while an extraction or root canal comes with brief aftercare instructions we walk you through before you leave. Call us if anything feels worse instead of better.
